The 3rd annual Ride de Vine bicycle ride is happening throughout Warren County today, starting and ending at the Armory in the Town of Warrenton NC today. Let’s welcome them to our county! Please be mindful of the hundreds of cyclists on this charity ride today. Practice caution when you see riders on the road. The ride will end around 2 pm.

The Rocky Mount Fire Department has retained its Class 1 fire protection rating from the North Carolina Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM), which is the highest recognition under the North Carolina Response Rating System (NCRRS).
City Manager Elton Daniels has announced the formal appointment of Martin V. McCoy Sr. as Chief of Police for the Rocky Mount Police Department, effective February 14, 2026.
