Edgecombe County had one gas station selling midgrade gas at the lowest price of $2.75 per gallon during the week ending Jan. 10, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The average reported price of midgrade gas across the county was $2.88 per gallon.
GasBuddy reports show that midgrade gas was available at six of the 25 reported gas stations in Edgecombe County.
The statewide average price of midgrade gas in North Carolina was $3.04 per gallon for the week ending Jan. 10, a decrease from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
