In the week ending Mar. 7, one gas station in Edgecombe County sold premium gas at the lowest reported price of $3.29 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The average reported price of premium gas across the county was $3.41 per gallon.
Of the 25 reported gas stations located within Edgecombe County, four offered premium gas.
Across North Carolina, the average reported price for a gallon of premium gas rose to $3.68, compared to the week before.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
