***Power Restored***
The Wilson Police Department is aware of a power outage in the area of Herring Avenue and Ward Boulevard. This outage is related to a motor vehicle accident on the 300 block of Pender Street NE which damaged several power lines. City of Wilson Utilities are on scene and making repairs but the time to completion is unknown. Please contact 911 for emergencies only.

There was one company in a city associated with Wilson County that received an FDA inspection in the first quarter of 2026, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The Food and Drug Administration inspected Canteen Wilson in Wilson on March 23 over foodborne biological hazards, information on the FDA’s website shows.
