The City of Rocky Mount announced on April 15 that it will host a community discussion about fair housing, rights, and available resources as part of Fair Housing Month. The event is scheduled for Thursday, April 23, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the Booker T. Theater located at 170 E. Thomas St.
The upcoming meeting aims to provide residents with information about their renting rights and access to housing resources. It also seeks to help participants understand how to address common challenges related to housing.
According to the city’s announcement, attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about fair housing issues that affect individuals and families in the community. The event is designed as an open forum where questions can be addressed and local resources shared.
Residents interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP by calling either 252-972-1181 or 252-972-1182.
The initiative reflects ongoing efforts by Rocky Mount officials to promote awareness around fair housing laws and ensure all residents have access to necessary support when navigating rental or homeownership concerns.
