The Rocky Mount Event Center hosted the 2026 Big Shots Nation NC Memorial Classic during Memorial Day Weekend, bringing together 70 basketball teams and more than 1,500 visitors to Downtown Rocky Mount.

According to the event organizers, this was the center’s 18th sporting event of the year. The tournament featured high-energy matchups and notable moments on the court, contributing to an active atmosphere in Eastern North Carolina.

The influx of teams and spectators created a lively environment throughout Downtown Rocky Mount. Organizers said it was another significant weekend for sports tourism in the area.

“From high-energy matchups to unforgettable moments on the court, it was another incredible weekend of sports tourism in Eastern North Carolina,” organizers said.

Event officials also highlighted that Memorial Day Weekend further showcased Rocky Mount as a destination for regional events and sports tourism.
