The North Carolina State Board of Elections has rolled out a new campaign to ensure voters it can be trusted to provide a secure process, according to ABC 11.
"We want you to know what is being done throughout North Carolina to ensure your vote counts,” State Board of Elections Executive Director Karen Brinson Bell told the network."
The hashtag #yourvotecountsnc is an element of the new campaign that the board of elections hopes will help overcome any potential physical and cybersecurity issues as vital elections draw near.
“It is making sure that we want to guarantee the confidence in the elections process by maintaining a secure process and an open process,” Wake County Board of Elections Director Gary Sims told ABC 11.
Authorities are willing to go as far as having mock elections before voters actually cast their ballots, and even hand-count votes to verify that the machines are correct.
