63 percent of applicants to North Carolina Wesleyan College were admitted for fall 2018

At North Carolina Wesleyan College, 55 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Rocky Mount enrolled 2,034 students in fall 2018, including 2,007 in undergraduate and 27 in graduate programs, data shows. 11.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

61 percent of undergraduates are residents of North Carolina, and 26 percent are residents of other states. 13 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (42 percent) and white (29 percent).

The school admitted 63 percent of the 3,136 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 19 percent enrolled.
