Edgecombe County issued the following announcement on Aug. 23.
Eric Evans, Edgecombe County Manager, is happy to announce the selection of Paul Moseley as the County’s new Utilities Director. Mr. Moseley will lead the office responsible for the County’s water and sewer system. In that role, he will lead a team of twelve that’s responsible for the distribution and protection of the County’s water supply, the maintenance of the sewer system, and utilities collections for over 5,000 utility customers.
Mr. Moseley has been with Edgecombe County for seven years. He started as a Utility Technician, pursued training and eventually became certified as the ORC (Operator in Responsible Charge) for Edgecombe County.
“I’m very pleased to see how hard Paul has worked and how much he has learned”, said Eric Evans, County Manager. “Our team is very excited about his promotion, and I know he will do a great job.”
The Utilities Director position became open when former Director Michael Matthews was promoted to Assistant County Manager. Mr. Matthews stated, “It has been my pleasure to watch Paul grow with Edgecombe County and I’m truly proud of Paul and all of his accomplishments so far. I look forward to working with Paul in his new role, where I believe he will be an outstanding Utilities Director”.
Mr. Moseley is from Whitakers, NC. He’s married to Regina Moseley and they have three children. Mr. Moseley stated, “I am excited to begin my new role for Edgecombe County and look forward to helping the citizens of our County.”
