Edgecombe County Public Schools issued the following announcement on Sept. 16.
Congratulations to the ECPS Employee of the Month for September - Vick Jenkins! Mr. Jenkins is the lead custodian at Martin Millennium Academy. He is pictured with Superintendent Dr. Valerie Bridges and Board Chair Rev. Raymond Privott.
According to MMA Principal Kelly Ann Mudd, Mr. Jenkins is a dedicated, hardworking staff member with a positive spirit. Even faced with challenges, Ms. Jenkins makes a special point to speak to as many scholars as possible and to be one of the first smiles seen (behind his mask) each and every day.
In addition to his custodial responsibilities, he also drives a bus. From keeping the MMA building clean and sanitized, to getting scholars to and from school safely, Mr. Jenkins is definitely deserving of this award!
