County of Edgecombe issued the following announcement on Oct. 5.
Chairman Leonard Wiggins has called a Special Meeting of the Edgecombe County Board of Commissioners to be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the Carmon Auditorium of the County Administration Building, 201 St. Andrew St. Tarboro, NC 27886. In light of the County’s State of Emergency regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic, this meeting will be limited to no more than 20 participants in person, not including Board members, staff and scheduled guests.
The public is also encouraged to listen to the meeting by calling 1-929-205-6099, entering 835-5066-6191 as the meeting ID, and 643969 as the passcode.
The purpose of this meeting is to review alternative redistricting plans, including taking action to request revisions and/or to select a plan for further consideration. Citizens with questions about this meeting may contact Frangie Mungo, Clerk to the Board, at (252) 641-7834.
