Recruit Firefighters Graduate from NCC

Nash Community College issued the following announcement on Dec. 20.

Twelve students graduated from Nash Community College’s Recruit Firefighter Training Academy during a ceremony held in the College’s Brown Auditorium on Thursday, December 16, 2021.

The fire program is designed to provide the information and skills needed for modern firefighting and rescue through a variety of learning experiences and training scenarios.

The Recruit Firefighter Academy is a para-military program that is delivered over 18 weeks. All students interested in firefighting, volunteer or career are welcome, however, the Recruit Firefighter Training Academy is specifically designed to train recruit firefighters currently employed by departments and students who wish to pursue a career as a professional firefighter.
