City of Wilson issued the following announcement on Jan. 5.
February is National Human Relations Month, where communities across the country take time out to celebrate diversity, lift up the needs of the less fortunate and closely examine community programs that enhance the quality of life in their cities and towns. This is also the time when the City of Wilson Human Relations office recognizes local individuals and groups for their volunteer service in the community to make Wilson a better place to live. These citizens are recognized and rewarded at our annual Human Relations banquet.
