Did you know that this is Fire Prevention Week? Fire Prevention Week is having it's 100th anniversary this week and to help the citizens of Edgecombe County learn more about fire prevention, local fire departments and EMS will be at Lowe's of Tarboro on Oct 15 from 5pm-9pm. There will be an extrication demonstration, water shuttle demonstration and smoke house! So while you are planning your weekend, pencil in a trip to Tarboro to visit with firefighters from all across the county.
Also, check your smoke detectors and talk to your family about your escape routes out of your home in case of a fire!
