Shout Out! to our two early colleges - Wilson Academy of Applied Technology (WAAT) and Wilson Early College Academy (WECA) for continuing the tradition of challenging each other to a flag football game during Homecoming Week. We loved the school spirit during the high-energy game, which was held - Oct. 28. Students from all grade levels were encouraged to play in the game, serve as coaches or cheer from the sidelines. Staff also served as coaches.
The score was tied with only a few seconds left and then WECA scored to win the game. Principal Dr. Randy St. Clair used the last minute goal to drive home an important life lesson to the team - "Never give up!" We applaud the staff and students at both schools for their sportsmanship and teamwork!
