City offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, for the New Year's holiday. The city's customer service office on Nash Street will also be closed on Saturday, Dec. 31.If you typically have trash and recycling pickups on Monday or Tuesday, both routes will be run a day late next week. Thursday and Friday routes will be on schedule.A holiday at the start of the month always means long lines at the customer service center the rest of the week. Here are other options to pay bills:
- Doing so online at www.WilsonNC.org;
- Using the automated system at 399-2200; or
- A kiosk has been added in the first drive-thru lane to provide a contactless payment option that takes cash, check and card payments 24 hours a day. Payments through the kiosk apply to City of Wilson utility and Greenlight customer accounts instantly.
All emergency services will operate on normal schedules. Utilities will be staffed and ready to respond to outages or other situations; call 252-399-2424.
