EARTHQUAKE RELIEF DRIVE AT WARREN CITY HALL! MAYOR FOUTS WILL DONATE A PERSONAL CHECK OF $1,000:

Due to the tragic situation in Turkey and Syria, I am volunteering to collect new/gently used clean blankets, overcoats/coats, gloves, scarves, beanies, underclothing, and other warm clothing items to send to Turkey and Syria. I will also donate a personal check of $1,000. I encourage other Mayor’s in the metro area to do the same! You can drop off your items at Warren City Hall at my office (Mayor’s Office, 1 City Square, Ste. 215, Warren, MI 48093) from February 13, 2023 thru March 13, 2023. I encourage others to donate whatever they can, as this is the most devastating earthquake in nearly a century!

Families are left homeless in the cold to find ways to survive. Let us help them find relief! This involves tens of thousands of people killed in Turkey as well as several thousand in Syria. People are left without electricity, water, and heat. Many lives are upside down with no home, no possessions, and little memory of what was there before. They sleep outdoors in an unheated car at best. Imagine small children being dug out of rubble, as well as, old people and babies trapped outside in cold frigid weather without warm clothing and protection!

You can drop off your donations and goods at: Warren City Hall, Mayor’s Office, 1 City Square, Ste. 215, Warren, MI 48093.

Flyer is attached.
