Nyasha Harris has been named the December Employee of the Month at Wilson Medical Center. Harris, a Clinical Documentation Specialist, is approaching her 24th year with the organization.

Harris shared her passion for her work by stating, “This role enables me to continuously learn and grow in the ever-evolving healthcare system. Accurate clinical documentation plays a critical role in patient care, reimbursement and overall healthcare efficiency.”

Residing in Wilson with her husband Derrick, Harris has been married for 23 years. They have two children attending N.C. State and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, hosting gatherings, and playing pickleball. She hopes to one day embark on a world tour to explore different cultures through their cuisines.
