Edgecombe County issued the following announcement on Sept. 16.
Chairman Leonard Wiggins has called a Special Meeting of the Edgecombe County Board of Commissioners to be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 2:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the Carmon Auditorium of the County Administration Building, 201 St. Andrew St. Tarboro, NC 27886. In light of the County’s State of Emergency regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic, this meeting will be limited to no more than 20 participants in person, not including Board members, staff and scheduled guests.
The public is also encouraged to listen to the meeting by calling 1-929-205-6099, entering 827-1091-5840 as the meeting ID, and 040767 as the passcode.
The purpose of this meeting is to review the redistricting process, including taking action on a finding of whether there is substantial inequality among the districts and to adopt redistricting guidelines.
