Wilson Rehabilitation and Nursing Center has been awarded a 5-star Overall Quality Provider rating by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. This recognition reflects the center's performance in overall quality, health inspections, quality measures, and staffing ratings. Additionally, Wilson Rehabilitation and Nursing Center received a 5-star quality measure rating for both short-term and long-term stay residents.
"We are proud of the entire facility staff," stated WRNC Director Julia Batts. "This rating was earned through the dedication and excellent care delivery provided by our staff each day."
The facility is a 90-bed licensed nursing home with 20 rooms dedicated to short-term rehabilitation. In 2024, it served 233 members of the Wilson community with skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. The center aims to assist even more residents in 2025.
Nearly 100 employees across various disciplines contributed to achieving this recognition. These include certified nursing assistants, medication aides, LPNs, RNs, nutritional services, environmental services, plant operations, administrative nursing, activities personnel, social workers, medical records staff, financial coordinators, and therapists.
"I have always considered WRNC as a vital component of our hospital," said CEO Lindy White. "The 5-star designation earned by the team is a testament to our mission statement of 'making communities healthier.' I could not be more proud of the work by the entire team in modeling what quality healthcare is, and all of our community should be proud that such a facility exists in Wilson."
WRNC continues to seek qualified staff members to join its team. Interested individuals can find more information at Wilsonmedical.com/careers.
